Salmon oil is made from farmed salmon. We are not fans of this for two reasons. First, the salmon may contain residues of contaminants from feed or medications administered. Second, the Omega-3 content of farmed (fluff) salmon has deteriorated quite a bit over the years. As a result, the Omega-3 content in salmon oil is low.

The oil is extracted within 24 hours from fresh Arctic wild fish in cold northern Norway. This gives the oil no chance to develop a fishy taste under the influence of oxygen.
