Dutch Arctic Blue Omega-3 products (liquid or capsule) are plant-based (algae oil-based) or made from the fillet trimmings of wild salmon, wild pollock or wild cod. One cod, in addition to the fillet for the supermarket, yields as much as 1 bottle (150 ml) of oil or 250 capsules. Whereas for many fish oils whole shiploads of sardines and anchovies are put through the mincer, so for Arctic Blue fish oil no extra fish is caught.
