How do I read the results of the omega 3 index test?

This value of the omega 3 index also applies to all your body cells. This percentage is almost always between 2 and 12%. The most ideal is a percentage between 8 and 12%.

The second result is the ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 in your blood. Ideally, the amount of omega 6 in your blood should be no more than 1 to 3 times the amount of omega 3 (i.e., between 1:1 and 3:1).

The ratio should also not be less than 1:1, i.e. no more omega 3 than omega 6.
