Wild oily fish, such as herring, sardines or mackerel, are a very good source of valuable unsaturated fatty acids Omega-3 EPA and DHA as well as vitamin D. Lean fish, on the other hand (kibbeling, fish sticks, tilapia and pangasius) hardly contain these important nutrients. The daily dose (2.5 ml) (one dessert or teaspoonful) of Pure Arctic Fish Oil contains the Omega-3 fats of (converted) about one whole herring. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA* or 250 mg of EPA/DHA**. These are legally approved health claims.
